I looked through the wiki for 5e effects, but couldn't find anything that would allow for disadvantage on spell saves or on spell attacks, maybe i'm just reading it wrong. Is there anything that could do this? DISATK: spell and DISSAV: spell maybe? any help would be appretiated :)

Example, i've got a player who is currently cursed, his curse is in mechanic terms would require anything magical he does or that effects him, to be at disadvantage IE: any spell saves he has to make, or any spell attacks he makes.

I think you might be looking at having the player click the disadvantage button when appropriate.

Sucks if the curse is something that isn't known yet but then FG will make it apparent that there is a malus being applied anyways even if there were an effect and you marked it visible to the DM only.

Yeah, there is not a spell descriptor as far as these effects are concerned. A good, quick check is to look at the "Descriptors" column of the Effects modifiers table: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/5E_Effects#Modifiers

If the "descriptors" column is blank, then there's no filtering you can do on the effect.
