Hello fellow Warriors and Wizards!!

I am brand new to Fantasy Grounds and would like to get my feet wet with a couple of One-Shot games. I would like to work with an experienced GM. I'm looking to do various kinds of scenarios like: Combat, Crimininal Activity, Diplomacy, Escort Quests, ETC... I have the "Players Handbook" Module and a Standard License. I already have a pre-made character (Tiefling/Bard 1/Criminal/Neutral). I rolled his stats and have added all of his starting equipment from his Class/Background. He has all of his starting Cantrips/Spells selected. The only thing I haven't done is rolled for his Starting Gold, which I will leave for the GM to decide. I am from California/PST. I am free most Tuesdays after 4PM PST and am free all day Sundays, I have my schedule for the rest of the month so shoot me a message if you wanna work out another day. I also have a webcam and mic setup. If you have any pointers or tips for a starting player, let me know.

Hello jjj, and Welcome! to the Community,

If you haven't done so already, let me encourage you to take a look at some of the great Tutorial Videos available on the Fantasy Grounds Wiki (and on YouTube). Damn's are good, as are Xorn's, and people seem to like mine as well (mine are also available from the links in my sig, below).

Start with the ones on the CoreRPG, because the CoreRPG forms the foundation of just about all the RPGs we play with Fantasy Grounds - so by learning how to use FG with the CoreRPG you'll learn about 80% of what you'll need to know to play any RPG with Fantasy Grounds. Once you've gone through the CoreRPG Videos you can then go on to Videos about your chosen RPG.

When you get familiar with the basic Fantasy Grounds product the next step is to check out some of the Extensions (Plug-Ins) for FG, such as the DOE: Sound, DOE: Locations, DOE: Weather and DOE: Organisations Extensions (to name a but a few).

And keep on asking questions - we're a pretty friendly lot here, and we love answering questions.

Cheers

Hey jjjtorrence actively check the forums each day and apply on games that suit your schedule. You will find games popping up but many fill quickly.

Hi jjjtorrence, and welcome!

I am also new to Fantasy Grounds, but I have spent some time getting comfortable with it and I'm running a one-shot tomorrow night at 7pm Pacific time. You and your character would be a welcome addition to the group if you can make it! We'll be on TeamSpeak, which is free. It's the most common voice software used around here from what I've seen. Discord pops up a lot as well, so you may want to get both to help you connect with more groups.

I am scheduled to get off at 7. But if I can get off early, I would definitely be interested in joining. I'll check out both of the video/auidio software programs you mentioned too. If I can't make it, I'd be down to observe your guys session if possible.
