Calendar entry: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/calendar/index.xcp?id=2381

Dusk City Outlaws is a game of heists set in the huge fantasy-themed city of New Dunhaven. Each player will play the role of a criminal with a very special set of skills. Together, you will scheme, plan, and pull off a daring heist. The game is currently in Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/481478805/dusk-city-outlaws?ref=user_menu), and we will be using the print-and-play rules released to backers using the MoreCore ruleset. Characters will be created on the spot, which takes only a few minutes. The game system is extremely rules-light and easy to pick up. I would characterize the game as primarily role-play and strategic planning. There will be some turn-based tactical scenes, but these will be handled via theater of the mind.

I do NOT have an Ultimate License/Subscription, so all players will need to come with their own FG license.

We will be using the fg-con Teamspeak server for communication. This will most definitely NOT be a text-only game!

As this is a playtest, I will be requesting that all players provide feedback on the game system, which I will relay to the creators. GM feedback my way is also much appreciated, the good as well as the bad. I'm always looking to improve my skills as a GM.

Woot! Nice one darrenan. Please post some screenies too.

How long do you expect session to run?

I'm not sure. I watched their YouTube game session, which was a "shorter" Job in terms of time the players had to get things done than the one I'm running, and it was about 4 hours I think. If this ends up stretching out over two sessions I won't cry.

A little more information:

This will be either one or two sessions. As my previous post says I'm not 100% sure what the run time for the 'Job' will be.

Also, I'm willing to be a little flexible on starting time, and to a lesser extent, day. I posted 5pm PST figuring to hit the East Coast sweet spot. Saturday is my most open day, but I could probably do early (my time) Sunday, or Friday evening. If you're interested in playing and the posted day/time doesn't work for you, please drop a note here, or to me personally. If we get enough people and we can all agree on a different starting time, we'll go with that.

And here's a link to the official web site for the game: https://scratchpadpublishing.com/products/2016/5/15/project-alcatraz

Pulling this for now, no interest. I'll try again at the next FG-Con.
