.pak Files Not Editing...

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I try to edit the base.xml file in the PFRPG.pak it's not accepting changes. I open it in a text editor and make my change. It then says "base.xml was modified. Please make sure you exit your file editor before updating the file in the archive. Do you want to update the file in the archive?". At this point, nothing will allow me to change the file. If I close the text editor and then update the archive, it won't actually have changed the file. If I try and delete the .xml file and replace it with another version, it won't delete the .xml file.

I have never had this problem with modifying a .pak in FG before. Is there some kind of change to the security of the .pak files or something?

Nevermind... my system didn't want me editing it when it was in the program data folder. When removed from that folder, it was editable. Sigh...
