Safe to Delete db.script and db.session Files?

Is it safe to delete old db.script and db.session files if the db.xml file is accurate and up-to-date?

These files do seem to breed like rabbits and start to take up a large chunk of space for a campaign that has been running a while and has a large db.xml.
