Back in 2010 there was an FG IRC channel that people used for pick-up games, talking about games and planning in real time and so on. Its been awhile but I was wondering if the IRC was still around ... and if so can I get the info so I can reconnect?

Yep, Discord is where it's at these days. The FG Discord in particular saw a pretty decent little growth spurt the past week or two.
