I'm just curious if anyone has used FG to play a war game or skirmish game. Seems like a no-brainer for certain systems and a great way for FG to branch out if they wanted to offer support for a different genre of game. The "Commands and Colors" system seems like a great fit already, and has been adapted to many time periods and even fantasy settings. It would be great to see some official modules from Fantasy Flight Games (X-Wing/Armada - and their Star Wars RPG while I'm at it!), but I won't hold my breath.

While FG is great for RPGs, there are a lot of things commonly done in war games that are not easy in FG. VASSAL is specific to war / board games and handles those quite well. There are already lots of modules supporting FF Games: https://www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Category:Fantasy_Flight_Games.
