I have a hi-res display and therefore modified the fonts to be larger (more on that in a different post)
However they looked terrible!
This brought me to realizing that Wine (the emulator which allows FG to run on a Mac) doesn't have the right registry settings to enable "LCD fonts"
How to fix this and make it look prettier:
1. Find the 'FantasyGrounds' app
2. Right click, select Show Package Contents
3. That's right, apps are folders. Now navigate to Contents/Resources
4. Open "user.reg" in a text editor.
5. Search for "FontSmoothing"
You should find a section like the below. Change the bold settings below from 1 to 2. Save. Quit. Run FG. Done.
"FontSmoothing"="2"
"FontSmoothingGamma"=dword:00000000
"FontSmoothingOrientation"=dword:00000001
"FontSmoothingType"=dword:00000002
