I'm looking at writing a module based on the Shinobigami rules (I'm an early backer). The way the game is explained is a little different than usual RPG's, in that there is an example playthrough at the start of the book and a seperate rules reference. The Rules reference only explains very specific concepts, the play through explains how the game works with many references to the specific rules and explanations they are using from the rules reference.
I was wondering if there were any way to create links directly in the text (like a hyperlink) to the section in the rules, rather than it creating an icon in a seperate link when I add a link usually.
This will be my first time creating a module (I've only done basic edits when DM'ing before) so forgive me if I'm not as up to date as everyone.

Additionally, should I be using the basic editor in fantasy grounds, PAR5E, another editor and should I be creating as a normal module or a reference module? I haven't done any editing outside of the internal fantasy grounds ones before.

Thanks in advance and all advice appreciated.

are you going to be using CORE ruleset for this?

You can't create a hyperlink like you're looking for, it has to be one of the linklist icons. There are limitations on what is available as markup in the formattedtext control, see "Internal Representation" here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/refdoc/formattedtextcontrol.xcp

To start with I'd recommend just putting the data into Story entries (not notes) within a Fantasy Grounds campaign. You can group these together and export them into a module for repeat use within other campaigns. If you later decide to put this into a reference manual, most of the formatting work won't be lost as you can copy/paste the text from the module into a reference manual.

If you think that a reference manual entry is more to your liking, then you might want to play around with what you can do. It's a bit different from Story entries so you may, or may not, prefer it for what you're doing. You have more granular sharing functionality with Story entries, for example.

yes Zacchaeus, it's basic D6 functionality and doesn't require anything different much, so I'll use Core. I'd have to figure out a way of doing the character sheets due to the way the skills work though.

Ahem... MoreCore... and if you need a specific roll for your system please define it in detail...
