Hello, im one of many people that will love to have adventures in our own language so i was wondering if i can make an official translation of one of the adventures and you can post it in the store.

The main objective is to interest people that only speaks spanish or doesnt have a good english to use Fantasy Grounds and one very good option for them is to have adventures in spanish. There will be no need to change everything to spanish but just one adventure (initially) because this people knows already the basics in english but they struggle when they have to run an adventure that is in english and there is no official adventures modules in spanish.

If it grabs the attention of many people (i think it would do) then you can create more content for this market.
There is nothing to loose and much to gain.

Thank you very much.

I think it would depend on which adventure, as the legals would be different.

Someone more knowledgeable will give you a better answer. But in the mean time, here are some related threads that have to do with localization and translation:

Thanks for your answer.
I was thinking in translating one of the Mini Dungeons to start and see how it goes.
I have read both links you shared: I know it exist already a extension to change the language to spanish but only for the FG interface and (this will sound contradictory) there are many people that prefers the interface in english (cause they learned the game in english) but the adventures in spanish. The fundament of this is that its not very difficult to learn the core rules in english and so to manage the FG interface but when you try to run an adventure in english that has a lot of terms that are not familiar and less "basic" you have trouble doing it. I see a lot of people asking for adventures in spanish, and actually there are some of them but none avaliable for FG.
Thanks!

The mini-dungeons are owned by Adventure-A-Week (https://adventureaweek.com/), so you would do well to contact Jonathan (https://adventureaweek.com/contact/) to ask about getting permission to translate for commission.

You could also contact SmiteWorks ([email protected]) to see about translating one of the WotC modules.

It makes total sense to me about it being more beneficial to have a module translated than the interface. Commands/functions are easy to learn (i.e. ABC means XYZ), but stories, text, conversation is something that requires fluency to comprehend.

Good luck, I think this would be great to be more inclusive. I know there's already a robust RPG market in German, seems like Spanish would be another good opportunity.

They do a good job of monitoring the forums, but I'm sure they miss things from time to time :) Business related matters are (in my opinion) best handled with an email direct to their support account.
