How do I open a monster manual or the DMs or Players hand book?

Welcome to FG and Community.

The simple answer is, if you are the host (GM), then go to the "Library" icon in the bottom right, from there click on the "Modules" button. From the modules interface, left click and drag to the left to open the book.

You can check out the 5E forum, in there are a couple of stickied posts will really good reference info. Including videos of people showing you just what this looks like, plus answering all sorts of starter questions.

And of course, anytime you are stuck, just ask :)
