Unearthed Arcana

Hello,

I would love to see FG support the Unearthed Arcana builds. I know it is not official, but I would throw some money at it is they could get the rights. I do not think it would require much tweaking of the current content.

I don't think it's a matter of getting the rights, as it is coming from WOTC, which they already have agreements in place with for 5e. It is more likely a matter of lack of time due to a small team trying to keep up with all of the official releases that need to get out, plus updating fantasy grounds, plus working on the new unity platform, all simultaneously, plus trying to fly over all of the stacks of work on their desk just to get out of the office. :).

I'm just sayin' These guys already do a bang up job for us. Keep that in mind.

I think it is a matter of getting the rights. This Unearthed Arcana material is not part of the standard WotC releases, so FG doesn't have the rights to it. It's also not OGL, so can't be created by the community.

It's been discussed a few times already. Search the 5E forum for unearthed arcana - usually referring to the spell-less ranger.

Actually... now that I think about it, I believe with the license WotC has with OneBookShelf (Dungeon Masters Guild) and the agreement Smite Works has with the same, we can produce FG modules containing the Unearthed Arcana data for distribution on (and only on) the DMsG. In theory, someone could do this legally.

Yea, I think you probably could. I just went through the FAQs again and don't see any reason why someone couldn't.

One thing to note, any artwork in the UA articles could not be included.
