Hi,

How does one fix this?

Host (3.2.0) is running different version than client (3.2.1).

Thanks,

One of your players must be running the test version. They need to switch to the live version the DM is using.

Sometimes you can run with a .x.1 mismatch sometimes not.
Generally unless you are testing you should use Live.

I am running 3.2.0, should I be using 3.2.1? and if so how do I get it, because I am the host.

Entered my user name and password in settings, still 3.2.0

You are on Live. One of your players is on Test.

FGv3.2.1 is the current TEST version - if you really want to run a game with it then choose the Test Radio Button near the bottom of the FG Settings window.

BUT

You shouldn't really be running "Live" games with the Test Version, you should be running them with the "Live" version (FGv3.2) - AND SO SHOULD YOUR PLAYERS - if I were you I'd get the Player whose version says v3.2.1 to switch back off the Test Channel to the Live Channel and then do an update - that'll bring him back to version 3.2 and you'll all be good

For this particular version update, it shouldn't matter, since the GM ruleset files override the player ruleset files, and the API is pretty much identical. You might run into some errors, if it was the other way around (I.e. GM running a newer version than the players), depending on the API changes between the versions.

Cheers,

Running into same error except 3.3.2 vs 3.3.1. Any current fix for that?

Have the GM run the updater...

Have the GM run the updater...

I'm the GM. Got it fully updated... it's two of my players with the issue, only one of them can't connect at all. They've updated too.

Obviously not, or they would not be reporting a different version than you... Someone has a different version. Check the version for the GM and all players in the upper right of the main screen...

Yeah as Andraax says one or more of you is not up to date.
Check version numbers of the application (splash screen) and rulesets (chat window).
If they are not 3.3.2 then you may have two instances of FG installed and the updater is updating the other one...

Maybe their security/AV application is blocking/quarantining the new FantasyGrounds.exe file.
