Weird problem with character sheet

So i have a player who has Vigor D6, chain mail +2, brawny +1. So my math comes out to toughness 8, but the character sheet is saying 9. Tried opening the shield icon by toughness, but only 3 armor is applied, so it should be 8. But its 9. no other feats or special effects applied. none of the other players sheets are messing up on the math.

What am i missing?

I fixed the issue by creating a new character identical to original and then deleted original. still, strange that happened
