I've added some portraits and portrait packs to my FG Portraits folder, but although I cam see all of the bags as GM, only some of them can be seen by the players. I've searched everywhere but still have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help?

Hi rodney418 this is not supported sadly. It was a design decision taken many, many years ago that has other dependencies and difficulties in unraveling.
The Devs are aware that this should change but due to these dependencies it probably wont change on the current engine - you will need to assign those portraits yourself.

So how come the players see some portraits but not others?

They will see those that are on their local machine only.

Interesting. So if I send them the .ppk files they can install them and see them? Clumsy, but it would work.

Yes - if you shared non copyright images with them as a PPK they will be able to use that locally.
Here is a sample ppk (Pulp Portraits) https://www.fg-con.com/downloads/PulpPortraits.ppk and a token module too: https://www.fg-con.com/downloads/PulpTokens.mod

That's precisely the one I've been trying to use for my Rippers campaign. Great portrait set!

Some GMs take a screenshot of the tokens and then share that as an image - the players can point (use an image pointer) to the image they want and the GM can select it for them.

Yeah, I've seen that done, but it's hardly the most elegant solution... useful tip though, so thanks!
