Can you add new portraits to the selection presented? If so, do they have to be of a specific pixel size and type?

Yes you can. I've been using jpgs with a size of 63 pixels.

Png:s work as well, and I suspect gif:s too. And they have to be present at the host - they are not transferred from the GM.
