FG License: I have the free version, I will upgrade if needed

Time Zone: PST UCT -8

Day(s) of week, frequency, and time: Fri, Sat, Sun; Bi-weekly, monthly. I can play weeknights, but would to be after 8pm PST.

Term: Long term, one-shots too

Voice: Yes, I have a headset, I'm open to any type of voice software

Game System Preferred: Call of Cthulhu, Savage Worlds

Game System Experience: 2 Savage World games played during FG Con 9

Fantasy Grounds Experience: I'm familiar with Fantasy Grounds, but I'm new. I will need help building a character. My 6 month goal is to be a Keeper for Call of Cthulhu, but I need to run around the block a few times first.

Character Type Preferred: Open

About me: 41 years old, I played Robotech and D&D when I was a teenager. Recently I heard about Call of Cthulhu and it reignited my interest in role playing again. While looking for local groups I found out about FG and Con 9 so I jumped right into two fantastic Savage Worlds games, I'm hooked again.

Welcome blackcoffee there are not a lot of Call of Cthulhu sessions advertised so you will need to keep an eye on things. I would also go and look back thru for any older CoC posts looking for players and post on them... just in case...

Blackcoffee,
Check out this post for a Savage worlds Rippers game that will go Saturdays at 6 pm est. I joined it myself and it looks to be right up your alley.

Reeled in! Fantastic. :D

Talen's SW Rippers game mentioned by BDaniel should be good for you - Rippers is like Cthulhu by Gaslight (Victorian setting), but with more steam/weird science to it. Talen runs a good game.

I had players looking for Call of Cthulhu at FG Con and did the same - steered them towards a rippers game. They ended up playing 2 or 3 Savage Worlds sessions and loved them.

Thanks to damned, BDaniel, and Trenloe for the advice and pointer to the Rippers game. The setting looks awesome.

Let me throw out a suggestion for East Texas University, another Savage Worlds setting. The gist of it is that the PCs are modern day college students who balance academic life with investigating the occult and slaying the supernatural. There is a game currently recruiting players:

Like Buffy the Vampire Slayer! More pop/modern, a little light but still lots of creepy!
