Hello,
I've been thinking of running a one-shot game for Halloween this year. Does anyone have any recommendations for modules or ideas?

Thanks!

Alagoran's Gem by AAW. It's a dungeon crawl that is over the top old school, TPK type stuff! Even has an indiana-jones type of trap. Never been able to run it fully, only got one session in but it started really cool.

AAW Games' "A Frightful Time": https://adventureaweek.com/shop/fgbasic02-frightful-time/ There's even a pumpkin patch!

I know it's for Pathfinder, but if you buy from the AAW site you'll get an installable .mod file that you can easily edit to load in 5E - then you'll just have to change the NPCs to 5e.

If you look around the AAW website you can usually find a one month free subscription code. With the month subscription you can download 2 products - PDFs or Fantasy Grounds modules, and have access to all of the scenarios via a web reader. So you can check out the scenarios first before deciding on which 2 products to download. :) Go hear and look for that code: https://adventureaweek.com/

You've got to do a classic whodunnit but the characters start as kids going out for Halloween night then they get transported to the world of D&D - they arrive in that world as what they were dressed as.

They find they're accused of murdering the local (enter someone important here) and have to clear their name and find a way back home.

It's classic scooby doo and I demand it be done!

This might be cool too: https://adventureaweek.com/adventures/b-series/#B9_Curse_of_the_Full_MoonPF_5E

"A terrifying Halloween adventure filled with undead to haunt your players. Play it with candles."

Out For Blood (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/195721/Out-for-Blood-Level-15-PCs?affiliate_id=8220) just got reviewed at my favorite blog and it seem to hit home with the theme you want!
