I have an item, Acrobat's Gloves, that gives proficiency in acrobatics and advantage on acrobatics checks. Is there a way that I can actually create the item so that it conveys these upon being equipped by a PC?

I'm new to FG, but I work as a programmer IRL so even if its a technically advanced process, if anyone can steer me in the right direction that would be great.

You can't add these abilities directly to an item, there needs to be a small number of manual steps when the PC wears the gloves:

Add the following effect to the PC (in the combat tracker): ADVSKILL: acrobatics Then when the PC rolls an acrobatics skill check it will have advantage. More on effects here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/5E_Effects
You'll have to manually assign proficiency to the acrobatics skill in the PC sheet as I'm not aware of an effect to grant proficiency.

Thanks, I saw if the item type is "Armor" there is a "Properties" box, can that be used for anything, by chance?

Also, will that effect persist even once we exit combat?

Only for very specific property strings - there is currently only one applicable property for armor ('Stealth Disadvantage'). See the "Item" section in the Wiki user guide for more info: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/5E_Item_Sheet#Create_Armor

Yes. Effects persist in the combat tracker (CT) and apply to any rolls made by PCs or NPCs which are still present in the CT.

With a type of "Armor" there was a dedicated box for Stealth, which isn't on the Wiki, didn't know if it was just out of date or not. Thanks again

Also, there is an "On/Off" button, so the GM can turn off the effect when the character removes the gloves without having to remove the effect from the CT.

So there is; I wonder when Moon Wizard sneaked that one in when I wasn't looking.

I don't suppose the developers of FG take feature requests, such as this? If so, where should I crosspost the idea of using the "Properties" for things like Effects?
