Hello,

I got a request that might look weird. I'm working on a ruleset, in french as it is my native language. Now i want to translate it in english. Thanks to internet and some lessons in my youth, i made 90% of it. But there are still a few words i'm not really happy with. I want the right meaning, not a meaningless google translate. So if someone around could help me, i'd really appreciate it.

Story : a frame to write down the bio of a character, his background, what he did before the game begins. What is the right word? History, story, anything else?

Possessions : a frame to put big possessions like real estate and vehicles. What is the right word? Possessions, belongings, estate, chattel, something else?

'Background' is as good a word as any for the first one and for the second 'estate' if it includes land or a big house or castle and 'goods and chattels' if it doesn't.

Thanks Zacchaeus. Problem is i've got vehicles and houses in the second category. So i guess "Estate" is not good?

Go with "Possessions".
