Unable to host games

Hello there,

I've been running two sets of games for well over a year now with Fantasy Grounds, but I've been having some frustrating issues the last few days. :( My port forwarding for port 1802 is set up, I'm able to get to www.fantasygrounds.com from my browser, but still the connectivity test fails and my players can't connect. I can't figure out what has changed to cause this issue. I would really appreciate some assistance.

Since you are on a wireless setup the most likely cause is that your router might no longer be forwarding incoming traffic to your PC. Make sure that your internal IP address for your PC is the same as the one which your router is pushing incoming traffic to. I'm not an expert on such matters however so I could be havering.
Also are you also using Himachi? I don't know if this will interfere with anything but if your players are connecting directly to you and you don't need a VPN for anything else then there doesn't appear to be a need to have that installed.

I use Hamachi to create a local network for some other games, so I'd like to keep that around if possible.

Well in mine it's in the LAN set up where I have reserved an address so that the router always allocates the same IP address for my computer even if the router gets rebooted. But every router is different. If you have a manual it should tell you in that.

As Zacchaeus points out, the most likely is that your router has assigned your computer a new internal IP. Google how to login to your router and check what the IP is and what IP port 1802 is being forwarded to.

Second, and unfortunate, possibility is that your ISP is now pooling your external IP. This is becoming more common worldwide as IPv4 addresses run out!

Other possibilities as well, and some of the guru's will jump on when they can and offer to help.

There was an announced server maintenance for about 20 minutes at the time you posted this. It took the alias server functionality offline, but it is back up now. Can you host now?
