FG License: GM has full, players need at least lite
Game System: GURPS

Time Zone: EST
Day of week and time: To be decided based on player availability/interest
If new game, planned start date: Ditto
Planned Frequency: Weekly or bi-weekly, depending on player availability/interest
Term: Long Term

Text or Voice: Text Only

Roleplay & Combat mix: 60/40. Good roleplaying is important for the investigation phase, but the Hunters are all combat capable and will have plenty of opportunity to show that off. Combat will be highly cinematic, with less attention to calculating exact modifiers and more emphasis on the PC’s kicking butt.
Number of Players in game & needed: Looking for 4-5 players.
Character Creation: A template chosen from GURPS Monster Hunters 1: Champions is mandatory.

Details of your scenario:
The shadows are not safe. In them lurk the things of nightmares. Vampires, demons, and humans with twisted abilities and ambitions. Humanity lives in blissful ignorance of the dangers that lurk in the dark underbelly of the world, all thanks to you.

You are a Monster Hunter. An unsung champion of the common man, defending him against things that want to feast on his flesh or control his mind. Whether you’re gifted with supernatural abilities or are simply very skilled, you are the first and last line of defense against the darkness.

The job is not simple – discover monsters, investigate their weaknesses, pursue them to their lair, confront them and live to do it again tomorrow. But you fight on, knowing that if it wasn’t for you and people like you humanity would be mere cattle.

Classes:
Monster Hunters 1: Champions offers a number of 400 point templates. These templates represent over-the-top heroes of tremendous power. You take the fight to the monsters mostly because you’re some of the few humans skilled enough to do so! The players may choose from any of these templates for their characters:

Commando - One-man combat squad. Specializes in guns of all types and sizes, and has an assortment of other backup weapons and military skills.

Crusader - Warrior powered by a higher being. Combines mystic powers, extensive knowledge, and combat prowess. An expert in spiritual warfare.

Experiment - Human that's been modified through bioenhancement. An ubermensch with access to unique powers that enhance his body and capabilities.

Inhuman - A monster that's renounced his evil ways and works for humanity. Available options are lycanthrope, outcast angel, demon, demonspawn, vampire, and dhampir.

Psi - A psionic warrior, mind over matter. Emphasis is heavily placed on abilities such as ESP, Psychokinesis, Telepathy, and Teleportation.

Sage - A walking library. Has basic magical and combat abilities, but true strength lies in his knowledge about monsters and their weaknesses.

Sleuth - A sneaky, skilled detective. Uses social, stealth, reconnaissance and investigation skills to get into places and find things others can't.

Techie - An equipment specialist and scientist. Combats the supernatural using technology and gadgets that he can invent and create on the fly.

Warrior - Front-line melee fighter. Toughest member of any team with an unmatched ability to slay monsters and keep going when things get deadly.

Witch - A magic specialist. Relies on extensive magical abilities and training and can work spells fast enough to use in combat.

Excited to get back into it! Thinking about writing up a Sleuth but I'll wait and see what other people would like to play before I decide.

Time Available: flexible, but prefer nights (after 10pm PST/1am EST) or afternoons (12pm PST / 3pm EST).

Character type: I like Inhuman (Lycanthrope) or Witch. I'll be happy to pick whatever fills in the group better.

This looks interesting, I'd love to join if we can find a weekday to play.

I have an idea I quite like for an Inhuman (Outcast Angel) / Accidental Hero with a Gifted / Chosen One sidekick, but I could also do an Experiment / Soldier, if that better fits the group.

I'm interested. Could do any day of the week as long as it started after 7:00pm EST and ended by 1:00am.

Character preference would probably be a Crusader nun.

Excellent! How does Thursdays 8:00 PM - 12:00 EST sound to everyone?

I could do that. I'd likely prefer 8pm to 11pm EST, or 7pm to 11pm to fit into the same sized time frame otherwise.
