When you drag and drop the spell from the PHB, it sets up the base damage (as always, at 1st level so you need to manually modify to equal your damage at your actual level).

If you set up an effect as well - right click add action - effect (DISATK;[ACTION] with 1 round duration), then it will also be effected by the same wisdom save, right? One save will cascade down to the damage and the effect?

Yes. The save is distinct from the other actions really. So you would take the action to make the save and then on a failure apply the damage and finally apply the disadvantage. Neither the damage nor the disadvantage will be applied automatically following a failed save. It has to be done by the user.

Not quite sure I am following you. There is 1d4 damage is the save is failed (like many damage dealing cantrips). In addition to damage, if you fail you also get disadvantage and I want to apply an effect for the disadvantage.

We are both not following one another then :)

As you say you can add an effect to handle the disadvantage. This effect will be on a separate line from the damage. So the player will click the 'attack' which will make the save. If the save fails the user will then have to click to do damage and then finally click on the effect to apply the disadvantage. So in other words clicking on the 'attack' will not automatically apply the other two effects.

And FG doesn't do it automatically because there are several ways the victim could avoid the damage and/or effect. So you have to hit the button yourself.
