Hey all,
Looking for some aid. I moved and changed internet providers recently and am having some trouble with port forwarding. With Bell I found it very easy to manage, but Rogers seems to be different. Connection test keeps coming back failure. When I first moved I was able to host open game until a backout happened.
This is what i have selected as of now
Common Application: -SERVICES-
App Name: Fantasy-Grounds
Protocol: TCP/UDP
Public Port Range: 1802-1802
Private Port Range: 1802-1802
Local IP Address: <<Internal IP>>
Any suggestion?

You only need TCP but based on a few others recent experiences some providers have stopped giving each subscriber an IP address and are bundling several customers on one address.
You should call them and say - "I am trying to run a peer to peer game that requires me to open tcp port 1802 but it isnt working. Does my current setup allow me to do this?". You may find that it is not possible.
Of course - double check your windows firewall and antivirus or other software firewalls. Check that your wifi or ethernet connection is set to Home or Work and not Public.
Also make sure you dont have two routers... a cable modem and a wifi router...

Do you own your own equipment or is it proved by Rogers? The fact that it worked until you had a power failure might mean that something changed once the network equipment rebooted. Since all the effected network equipment in the area that had the power failure would be rebooting, you may have been assigned an ip address in a period of higher demand on the internet providers system. Try doing a full power cycle and reboot of the network equipment, note your public IP address and call the provider as damned suggested. The tech may be able to assign you an specific ip address if that is the issue. If you are using a cable modem and a router at the same time, both rebooting at the same time may have resulted in one (probably the cable modem) taking more control than it has in the past. Damned has written several responses explaining how a cable modem/router combo actually creates two networks.
