I have started running the hardcover Curse of Strahd. The other DM ran the Death House part and then SKT came out and he wanted to move on. So I am doing the hardcover. Do I get the first timer quest reward? This is definitely my first time DMing, ever. But it is a hardcover and not a DDEX or DDAL that I am aware of. Also it went for at least 2 hours.
Can I get the First Timer if I run a DDAL or DDEX on FG?
Does the module have to be from SKT to be legal?

1) First Timer has to be a DDEX/DDAL, not hardcover, so no.
2) If you run a DDEX/DDAL on FG, yes, you get it. (You also get Ethereal)
3) No, the DDEX/DDAL can be from any season; it just has to be run this season.

I have the starter set so I ran the Lost mines of Phandelver. If it doesn't count for the DM Quest it is still an AL legal module, yes?

LMoP counts as a hardcover. That came up last week in the DM Group on Facebook.
