Question about GMing in FG

Is there a way for someone other then the host to be GM? Like can I start up the server and transfer the GM role to someone else? Or is the host always gonna be the GM?

The host is always going to be the GM. If you all have standard or ultimate licenses then any one of you can GM. But you can't transfer a license which is what would be needed to pass to someone else.

Welcome to FG.

You can use the subscription option to rotate the GM. Whoever is current GM has the sub and then when ready to move to another, just drop and have them get a sub.

But their module purchases won't transfer.

And you would have to manually move the campaign data to the new GM.
