I would like to personally thank Rogue for assisting me with getting my connection issue fixed. I would have never been able to muddle my way through it.
I would also like to give a shout out and extend my thanks to damned for offering multiple times to help me, I just couldn't except at that time do to a power outage on my end.
Thank you both

The other day I was housesitting and found myself behind a router AND a modem. Desperate to get it working because I had to DM, I couldn't figure out how to port 1802 on both. Damned helped me and I was able to get it done. This FG community is the greatest in all gaming. Seriously!!!

Yeah, I had a similar situation this past weekend. I changed my internet to upgrade to 100 mbps down and 10 up. I requested a senior rep who knew how to port forward as I have a modem and a router too. He came out and asked which cable he should unplug from which piece of equipment to plug into the new modem. Seriously!

I asked about port forwarding and got a blank stare. After a bit of online research I simply logged into the modem and forwarded port 1802 to the router and wala! It worked! I was very proud of myself. :)

Not so fast. What I didn't share is the first time I tried to port forward on my own with the modem and router setup I took down my internet for two days. True story. Family was not happy with me with no internet.

Oh well that's how we (or I) learn the hard way!
