Insert characters created in a module?

I converted an adventure of an old RPG magazine I have for the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, the adventure was originally from Dungeons & Dragons 1st Edition and created characters for it, because it is one shot, a module has been created, but would to know if you have to add the characters created in this module and how to do it?
