Does anyone know of a ruleset or extensions or modules that would enable the running of Wheel of Time d20?

I'm also curious about this. It's been a long time since I've looked at the wheel of time rpg. I wouldn't thing it'd be much different to input than other d&d modules.

It's basically 3.0 with a different magic system and some different classes and races

Wouldnt you just use the 3.5e ruleset then?

Probably. Will have to figure out how to add the classes, races, and new magic system

Remember that the 3.5e ruleset doesn't have drag/drop character building like 5E does. So you'll need to manually adjust the characters anyway, even if you have a library of text only reference entries. 3.5E reference libraries are basically a set of text reference entries, with some (feats, abilities, proficiencies) that can be dragged to the character sheet, but all these do are add textual references, there is no automation. You basically have the build the character manually, so not having Wheel of Time specific libraries shouldn't be too much of an impediment.
Magic may be your biggest issue as there is some automation built into the spell classes/spells. You may have to work out if the existing 3.5e structure can be used.

Here's something else I just thought of. I need to make sure I'm not violating any copyright laws. I mean, I know it'd be legal to make it, but would it be legal to give away to others?

I don't think it was released under the OGL, so you'd only be able to share the base game system mechanics. i.e. if you created an extension to cover some game mechanics, you can share that. But if you create a library module with game text/background then you couldn't distribute that, only use it privately in your own games.

The sad state of affairs that is the licensing for wheel of time games. Right now, the rights etc have reverted to his estate I think. Theres been talk of movies, games, comics. But every time someone gets the rights they fall short. You could conceivably write to his wife, Harriet Mcdougal for permission. She's pretty good about these type of things. Robert Jordan was a big fan of fan created content and what not, he didn't care for the d2o game though. I think, the setting would work best in a different age. Maybe after The last book, when the male half can be used. Make Aes Sedai a political faction and not a class. Maybe set em up by bloodline like a pathfinder sorcerer. You can cannibalize spells with effects similar to what weave would be. Hold person, charm, dimensional mansion, the weaving is just the component required to obtain the same effects. So the spells just need name changes, and a little thought. Say instead of verbal and somatic componets, you used elemntal weaves, in the description it would read 'thread fire, earth, and spirit' and your bloodline determines which elements you can weave.
Its a tough project, I hope it turns out well for you. Its my favorite series, so I would definitely play in the setting.
