DMG Magic item prices

The DMG does not list specific prices for magic items or scrolls yet the FG DMG seemingly has a gp value for every item. (awesome?) How were these values determined?

They are randomly generated by par5e based on the gp min/max table per level of the magic item in the DMG.

Wait, are we talking about the official DMG file licensed by WotC and sold in the FG Store? Is SW allowed to input data into those that isn't part of the source data, or did WotC approve the cost list?

Yes, probably and I doubt it. The prices are guides only - you can ignore or make up your own. But they are based on the values from the DMG.
