View Full Version : Par5e executable vanishing

Hey all.

I downloaded the Windows version of Par5e using the link provided here in these forums (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?18123-Project-Par5e). When I unzipped the file, the Par5e executable vanished after a second or two. Could someone please let me know what I'm doing wrong?

It vanished? Did your antivirus stick it in a vault? If not, try doing it again.

Okay yeah, it looks like Norton grabbed it. I wonder why that is.

I downloaded it yesterday or the day before, and haven't had any trouble with it (AFAIK). Microsoft security essentials says it's ok.

Ah, it looks like Norton flagged it for having a low reputation score. Apparently it uses a crowd-sourcing type heuristic in addition to actual virus/malware/trojan detection.

I've always thought of Norton AV AS a Virus... especially when I tried to uninstall it one time. (This is a LOOOONG time ago, they may have fixed their uninstall by now ;P)
