Hey Everyone now that I have my connection issues resolved. I have a few technical questions, I'm hoping you guys may be able to answer.

Tonight I had one of my players log in. We were just testing a few things, and these three issues arose.
1. He could not drag and drop his token off his character sheet to the combat tracker. I checked the settings and didnt see anything that should be stopping him. So does anyone know why he would not be able to. I checked the character and it was assigned to him. I could Drag his token to the combat tracker he couldnt.

2. He could not drag his token off the combat tracker onto the map. Which from what I understand is how the tracker talks to the map and vice versa.. once again I had to drag it over.

3. Immunities and resistances? We got his breath weapon working. Yay. But could not get his resistance to apply to damage. I even through out a blue dragon and could not get the blue dragon immunity to lightning to apply to itself. Any idea why this might be?

thank you

1. Only the GM can add to the CT
2. Only the GM can remove from the CT
3. What ruleset?

1. That is a DM function only, players cannot do that.
2. See #1.
3. For that you need to create an effect. The effect would look like this without the quotes - "Resist Lightning; RESIST: lightning"

Hope this helps!

Without the effect applied as I stated (put onto the character in the CT) FG doesn't know to resist that damage. The effect must be applied to his characters. This is a VERY VALUABLE page - https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/5E_Effects

As a shortcut, the GM can drag and drop the little green face from the bottom of the combat tracker to move all the "friendly" tokens onto the map at once. Same for yellow and red, if needed (those are usually pre-placed via encounters, however).

And this is what we learned today. :)

This cracks me up every time I see it... which is quite often.

Is there a way to completely empty the CT? I guess it might be called remove all friendly?

Not in 5e that I know of; but then as I keep discovering there are many things that I don't know. You can clear the CT in Savage Worlds if that's any help :)

This option doesn't exist in the 5e ruleset (though oddly it does in the 3.5e one). If you are not running the game and want to quickly remove a large number of PCs, pull the campaign's db.xml file up in Notepad++, find the <combattracker> section (Alt+2 will collapse sections making it easy), and delete all the 'id-0000*' entries in the <list> section. Save and close.

Just curious as to why you want to do that? Normally you just leave the party on the CT, and add and remove players as people join or drop out of the game. I rarely have the entire party quit on me at the same time... :-)

One word.... Cthulhu.

Well, you will have to delete them one at a time. This might also work (haven't tested it): drag the "foe" indicator from the bottom of the CT to each player, then delete all foes.
