Hi guys this a stream, on the campaign we have been running, one of the guys been doing it for the last 4 weeks. Enjoy if you like watching RPG games. Sorry for the stuffed up nose on my end, I still not recovered from a Virus that I have had for 3 months. Warning: Also this is for adults as the language and topics can be a bit colourful.

We are playing with the RMFRP module and a number of house rules to keep the flow going, so some the rules might be a bit strange to you.

GM Perspective: Wow this week the work I put in also the I think people think the GM is on LSD for the first part of the story line, I had worked hard all week trying to get all the pieces together but still felt a little flat to being with it funny when you review back your own tube of improvements you could make as a GM. But the players did well I thought considering the amount of information they were swamped with.

This the first week, I tried to skip things like shopping and other non story related activities that could lead anywhere, I tend to do this if the party has a specific reason but i already new from the whisper coming in that 45 minutes would be devoted to this and knew they would not need there knew gear not needed till next 'real' week.

Question for the GM, how do you handle shopping, do you do it in game time or do you do it outside game time and has anyone worked out a nice way of doing this when there is no real plot points to be involved.

If the players are somewhere where good are available I let them just get the gear - I never have magic for sale so its all mundane stuff. So long as its on the Char Sheet when they need it and they dont look like they have the Iron Throne on their back - they can have it.

Well I nailed the old mans voice today, perhaps will forget it by next week. I am terrible with voices, I have been practising in the car trying to create various voices however when I get to game night I either forget them or they just do not come across the mics as I wish. Also I been having has sinus issue since March which been keep my nose blocked up, anyone have any home remedies for Sinus issues and nasal congestion, will to give them a try at my wits end at the moment.

Ardem best dm ever (he tolerates me and my incessant questions as a newer player constantly reading all the books)

This is a very hard module, the last game is a real mind bender, like all mystery modules. As a GM I had o reread it 5 time to understand, even then it was going to be a tough ask from the players side. I try to give them as much notes as possible however if the players are not used to these type of scenarios then it might be tough working out what is going on.

Fortunately there is the stream, so I have asked those that need to followup and watch it might be a good thing.

Question for the GMs today, if you see the party heading towards a train wreck, do you steer them away or let them crash and burn.

I think thats up to you and the group. How attached are the group to their players? To the current story?
Move the train wreck, modify it or unleash it on them... There is no single right answer :)

Well they avoided the train wreck which was nice. But a lot of battles, I must say the use of Syrinscape is great, you can have a little fun with it. I am holding out for Dakadin Version 3.0 RM, this will allow Syrinscape to be integrated into the Fanatasy Grounds and make it a lot more manageable for modules.

How many other GMs are using sound / music background or other stuff to enhance there games and have they found it worth it. I found without the music now it all feels a little empty and quiet.

Yep, use background music/soundscapes and effects all the time. Sometimes Syrinscape, sometimes other RPG related tracks (such as those from Plate Mail Games, Darkraven Soundscapes or Battle Bards), sometimes computer game or movie soundtracks - whatever matches the game best. If I'm playing and the GM isn't using background effects/music then I play some to myself as I, like you, now find it too empty/quiet without. :)

Yup, as a GM, music and sound effects totally help light up the imaginations of the players, I find.
Couple it with handouts, or pics of a certain scene with the NPCs in it before a battle, and it helps even more to kickstart things!

Just started playing with a bunch of my 90s high school pals(D&D1E) and found Syrinscape a few months back, and loaded it on my tablet.
Besides awesome mood setting sword clashes or weather effects, the hilarious sound of the failure Wa-wa-wa-wahhhh elicits many laughs!

When GMing I grabbed a bunch of movie/CRPG games' OSTs and found the old Midnight Syndicate ambient music from 3.0ish days.

PS: need to update the playlist to #17. ;)

Limited Internet at the moment as i moved house so we are on break. However will as update as soon as I get the chance, also our streamer missed a game or two, which is a shame hope to sort all this out when i am back online.

So watch this space the team that resembles The stooges or Marx Brothers more so then Oceans 11, will be back in Early December.
