I have a really nice router but can't port forwarding with it. I have the netgear nighthawk AC1900 R7000. For some reason it will not let anything go inbound. I've port forwarded 1802. I've hooked up my old router netgear r6100 and it works but it drops signal very easily. Has anyone ran into my issue with the netgear nighthawk like I have and got it to work.

I'll try to check mine when I get home. I've got a Netgear and have had no problems with it. It is a cable modem/router combo.

From what I can remember, port forwarding was under the advanced options.

I went under the advanced options and added the port 1802 and FG still won't let anyone connect to me.

Are you perchance using a wireless network? If so remember that you'll need to tell your router to forward everything to your computer's internal IP address. Additionally make sure that the problem isn't with your Anti Virus software's firewall. You'll have to allow port 1802 through it's firewall as well.
