Only thing it listed a +1 for was "following on Twitter" - I visited (and liked and posted even ;)) Facebook (and I never use Facebook... my account is barely ever looked at... no time) and posted the contest on Twitter (which I actually use a lot more, especially during GoT months ;))

May only be a "UI" thing, but it is confusing as to number, if any, of entries.

Someone posted that you have to confirm each entry. It should tally up the number of entries you have and the total number of entries received on the widget. If you referred people, it won't tally those up unless those people also enter. That's what I gather from doing a few general searches on the rafflecopter widget that we are using to host these giveaways.

I seem to be having an issue with the link when using the email on the widget. I have 5 players that I want to email, but whenever I click on the link, it just opens a gmail window (gmail is my email app on this computer) with a recipient address that says "CHANGEME" and no content.

Any advise on this?

Can anyone else who has done this confirm? I can't actually walk through the process without it creating an entry for me.

I'm using Outlook and it works. The text is a little mixed up with the ampersand (see below). But otherwise appears ok.

I was browsing the web earlier and stumbled upon a giveaway that I thought you might enjoy (they're giving away D&D Curse of Strahd!) Enter to win here: https://gvwy.io/wyfhzc7 When you enter using that link, I'll get an entry into the giveaway, too :) Thanks!

Edit: though I don't know if that link is unique or how else it would know to credit me with an entry.

When I click on the email link the widget just disappears. Using Chrome on Windows 10. My default for email is Chrome.

I tried at work where Outlook 2007 is the default and same thing happened.

It generates a unique link for each person and for each referral. If someone clicks through the link and then enters, then you get a +1 entry for it.

Do you happen to have popups blocked?

Can you right-click on it and copy the link address and then paste it into an email instead? I'm not sure if that will work. Just trying to brainstorm other things to try.

Good morning.

I did have popups blocked but allowing them did not help. Fantasy Grounds was in my white list too. I also disabled my adblock extension.

Hovering over the link it just shows
mailto:CHANGEME?subject=&body=

The Facebook and Twitter buttons do show a more complex URL.

This is the first I've been able to get back on, sorry.
The email link didn't work, but I figured the link was unique.
I was gonna email it around but wanted to check back and ask - but it looks like the answer is already in the thread, so thanks.

For reference if it matters, these are the things I tried on my AMD 64 bit windows 8.1 pro machine that did not work
Turned off adblock and restarted chrome
Installed thunderbird, made it default system handler for email during install
installed a chrome extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mailto-for-gmail/dgkkmcknielgdhebimdnfahpipajcpjn?hl=en-GB) to handle mailto: within chrome using gmail
turned adblock back on, restarted gmail, retried both

I just had a friend use my code, which was sent via email, and I see that he also shared the giveaway on his page.
My entry count is still at 3 but I suppose it probably does not instantly update.

I've had 5 friends confirm that they signed up using the tracker but my entry count hasn't moved. I know for sure at least 3 of them shared the link or tweeted but my entry count hasn't moved. I also noticed that when I refresh the php page for the giveaway widget, I get a different code every time. I'm slightly concerned that it's not working or that I'm somehow "doing it wrong (https://www.engadget.com/2010/06/24/apple-responds-over-iphone-4-reception-issues-youre-holding-th/)". If it's broken then it's broken, things happen... but I feel like a jerk asking my friends to do something for me that they might not have done otherwise but having nothing come of it.

I see that you have 3 entries for the Twitter, FB follow and tweet and then 2 more for Refer a friend. Josh and Lywis.

Hmm that's interesting.... I emailed a few friends the link from my page, and also posted it on facebook. The two that you confirmed are the only two that I know of for sure that used the link from my fb page and they both took one of the actions to get an entry. Josh did an FB share, and Lywis either followed or tweeted (not 100% sure). Everyone else who told me they did it, received the link via email. That's weird... but it's enough to go on to ask my other friends to use the link on my page to try to get the 10 entries before the cutoff

Also, for what it's worth, when I go to the giveaway page it shows that I still have 3 entries, not 5. Prob just a display bug if you see 5, but worth mentioning I guess.

Thanks for the response

Yeah, I'm not sure if it tallies beyond the 3 main entries. I'll let the RaffleCopter people know, though, because that would definitely provide a better user experience. I do see people with around 9 entries from that type.

I was finally able to get the email thing to work by trying it on my phone. Must be some plug in or extension on my computer interfering with their code.

This is Awesome!!! I entered and sent a link to the groups of people I play Table Top games with to try to get them on here and your Social Media. I did have a question regarding the giveaway, since I already have an Ultimate License and all of the D&D 5E content, could I give the prize(s) to a person of my choosing if I win?

Thanks Doug (and everyone else at SmiteWorks!)

P.S. I have a friend who DMs our Pathfinder group and uses Roll20. We are always having issues with the site and I've been telling them about FG for a while now. They already have $$ sunk into Roll20 and are kinda reluctant to switch so I'd love to be able to give them the license if I won.

Congratulations to the Fantasy Grounds user gandred for winning the D&D Curse of Strahd giveaway. It turns out that they already owned an Ultimate license, so they asked if they could gift it to a friend, which we will. gandred plays out of Italy.

Hey, congratulations, Gandred!

Both for winning – this is very good – but also for giving the license to a friend, since you already have it – this is even better!

Good gaming for you guys – and now, you can just ask your lucky friend to start a game as DM, so you can join as a player… lol

Had Tymora smiled on me, I was going to do the same thing to saddle a friend of mine who only has Demo version (I have Ultimate) and was one of our Tabletop DMs back in the day.
