For those of you who have a hard time making a daytime game, my apologies for the short notice. As I prepare for the movers to come pack out my things, my schedule is considerably less flexible right now. After this scenario, I will be taking a break from GMing until I'm settled in Kansas sometime around mid August. I will be losing my desktops within the next few weeks and I don't care to attempt to GM any games off my laptop (although I can still play). So I won't have time to prep anything new. I might be able to run this for a 2nd group if the interest is there, but we'll see what my schedule looks like as we get into June.

So a funny thing happened on the way to my kitchen. My wife called me to let me know that her work has just scheduled her Farewell Dinner...on June 3rd...at 4pm GMT...which might make our start time of 7pm a bit sketchy. So I'll have to push our session back an hour to 8pm.

Does anyone have a problem with this? There is a chance we could start on time at 7pm, but it's a small chance. Those dinners tend to run long while they talk about how great the person is that they're saying Goodbye to. And since my wife is just TOTALLY AWESOME, we'll probably be there a while. :)

If this is a problem, possible alternate dates could be the 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, or 18th. There might be a few others sprinkled in there between the 13th and 16th, but I won't know for sure until we schedule a daytrip we want to take while we're still in Europe and our oldest is home for a visit.

Those dates also work for a possible 2nd table if the interest is there.

I'm definitely free on the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.. between the hours of 7am & 7pm eastern... I'm not sure what that translates to currently... are we -4 or -5 at the moment? It says -5 on the calendar.. but I don't think that actually changes when it changes. The Current gametime is listed as 3pm for me if that helps.

Yes, right now you are -4. So if we went with an 8pm start time that's 4pm for you....which will run you past your 7pm deadline.

Here's the best that I can do:

The Farewell Dinner begins here at 6pm local...which is 4pm GMT or 12 noon EST. It generally runs a few hours. My hope is to be back by 9pm local (7pm GMT/3pm EST), but I can't make any promises. It really all depends on the events. But once I'm back, I will fire up the server and post here that it's up and running.

If the timing works and we have 4+ people, then we'll go with it. I'd rather not run this with 3 and an NPC because the reviews on this say that some of the challenges can be quite difficult....as in a few TPKs.

If it's getting too late by the time I'm back, we'll just have to reschedule. I'll put up a few more dates and times for people to vote on that can either work as a fallback or for a 2nd table.

In the meantime, I'll be needing XMLs and Chronicle sheets from folks that haven't sent them yet.

(of course only 2 people have weighed in on that at this point).. I can't be sure if I'll be available or not.. it is looking like I will be.

Other than that.. it doesn't seem like any of the dates posted are much better than tomorrow... although cmdisc won't be as pressed schedule wise if he's not running on the tail end of a dinner party.

Unfortunately, the dates up are the only ones I can do (and even some of those will be subject to change). So we'll have to run with what we have. After the 18th, the packers come and put almost everything I own into various-sized boxes. Then for the next 8-10 weeks I'll be on my laptop and I really don't care to GM anything on it (although I can still play....which reminds me, I have to get all my xmls and chronicles over to my laptop).

JWMK, even if we start on time as originally planned, are you ok with sticking with the Wednesday table? I have 2 confirmed for that one and 1 potential right now. If you are fine with that one, it will put us into range of legal size (with 4 or 3+NPC). This will leave Zwootwick, Lucia, Layni, and Banthis for today....which is going to make things challenging considering a small party all at the lower end of the subtier.

Ok, true to the end-of-school-year mad dash, where everyone is scheduling everything on top of each other, my daughter has a Sports dinner on Wed that begins at 4pm GMT. My wife would have taken her, but now has an official award ceremony and dinner to attend the same night. So I'll be taking my daughter to her event and am not sure how long it will last.

Does anyone have a problem with pushing this off an hour later to 7pm GMT?

That will set the start time at 2AM for me and actually shave an hour of sleep off for me before work...so I'm not entirely sure I can make it since I was already pushing it with the original start time. However, I'll try to get home and get some sleep before game time but it's a bit iffy whether I'll get back home early enough to do so. If I'm not logged on right at game time, then please start without me as I'll probably have slept through the alarm I set for myself.

Also, given that I'm not fully able to commit to the updated start time, if the other players who have expressed interest decide to confirm between now and game time, please go ahead and bump me down to alternate and confirm them into the game!

Here's what I can do. We can stick with the original start time of 6pm GMT. I will see if I can make arrangements for someone to give my daughter a ride home from the event (if it runs longer than an hour and a half as expected) so I can duck out early and get back here to fire up the server and get us going on the hour. I can't promise anything, but if everyone is ready to go, I'll post here when the server is up and then will hop onto TS.

Well I have to say the 2nd table benefited from a larger party and a more diverse skill set. And with success in one area contributing to the success in another, they had a much easier time handling the challenges.

I just hope it wasn't TOO easy for them. ;)

Oh and my apologies last night in getting Busta's and Vul'Gar's histories mixed up. It was Vul'Gar who stood in the city square as a child having fruit thrown at him.

I had forgotten that Busta is actually a quadruplet. Most people don't realize this, but it's true. His sister, Busta Move, is a very famous dancer in Varisia. Meanwhile his brother is a proficient bouncer at one of the more rowdy taverns in Absalom. His name is Busta Jaw. Then there's the quirky one of the bunch, Busta Leg, who is a dedicated thespian at the local playhouse. No one is quite sure whether he's a brother or she's a sister. But then I guess it doesn't really matter, since that IS theatre after all. :p
