Alright so I am currently running with my first monk. I have searched and searched with no avail to an issue I'm having with Flurry of Blows.

OPEN HAND TECHNIQUE
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level,
you can manipulate your enemy's ki when you harness
your own. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the
attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, You can impose
one of the following effects on that target:
It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be
knocked prone.
It must make a Strength saving throw. Ir it fails, you
can push it up to 15 feet away from you.
It can't take reactions until the end of your next turn.

Does the target take damage still if I choose to knock them prone, push them away? Is the part in blue another effect I can impose or is it added to the other 2 effects.

Yes, they still take the damage from the attack. This is an added effect above and beyond the damage.

Also the blue effect is one of the 3 options available to impose on the creature targeted.

You may find this (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?27337-Effects-the-Complete-Monk-Package&p=244487#post244487) useful if you are creating a Monk.

Thanks guys, just wanted that clarification that it indeed does damage as well as 1 of the effects. :D
