Sorry I was asleep with the flu...

There was a fire (and an explosion?) at a Georgia Power substation in Atlanta last night. UPS power did not kick in quite fast enough and the server went down at least 4 times over 4 hours.

Might that have also taken down the alias resolving server? at 9pmEDT, my players were unable to log in -- after a bunch of stuff they were, but I wasn't sure why.

Possibly... the teamspeak server is a community thing. Its possible one or more players was being routed through Atlanta but I dont think the Smiteworks servers are located in Atlanta.
