Can demo players access host's 5E modules?

Hi!

I am interested in subscribing to Fantasy Grounds Ultimate so my players can all use Demo versions - but I am unsure about the modules. I want to play 5E games and the demo version I've been testing seems to have no 5E content at all, despite choosing the 5E "ruleset" at the start - the "library" only contains 3 "modules" - "Calendars, "Default Fumble and Critical Hit Tables" and "FG Battle Maps".

So I assume that if I sign up for "Ultimate" I'll get access to 5E content - like the ability to build characters using 5E classes and races, and that this is what is meant by "5E SRD 5" under "Data Libraries" - or am I wrong? Will I have to spend another $50 buying virtual books for the virtual subscription (I am not keen on that after buying all 3 core physical books already).

Also, if I do get some actual 5E content with the base "Ultimate" Fantasy Grounds, will Demo players be able to use that content in my campaigns? Or will each of them have to buy extra things in order to build 5E characters?

Also, does that "5E SRD 5" include all the races, classes and backgrounds etc. in the PHB, or some subset?

Hi lesliev and welcome.

Demo license do not get any 5e content at all unless they are logged into an Ultimate GMs session.
Full and Ulimate licenses get the following 5e content:
D&D Basic Rules https://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/dnd/BasicRules_Playerv3.4.pdf and https://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/dnd/DMBasicRules.pdf in FG format - drag and drop and all that
D&D 5e SRD https://media.wizards.com/2016/downloads/SRD-OGL_V1.1.pdf in FG format - drag and drop and all that
You can go and download those PDFs for free to see what is in them. Theres a helluva lot of stuff in there but it is by no means the complete Players Handbook, Monster Manual and Dungeon Masters Guide.
If you want this in FG then you need to buy them at $50 a volume (in FG format).

Go try the Ultimate Subscription. You first $10 gets you 60 days, and then its $10/month after that.
Have a play with it. See what you think.
If you like it my bet is you will buy at least the Complete Core Classes (Players Handbook) as well.
