Can't refresh XP

Hi,
I'm DMing the Princes of Apocalypse and I have an issue when I try to customize an encounter.

With my homemade campaign, in the encounter window, I have 2 circular arrows. One is Refresh CR and the other is Refresh XP.

In the PoA module, the arrow are not there. I'm trying to adjust the difficulty of some encounters, mainly the ones I get from the random tables, but when I add or remove an NPC, the XP stay the same making the CR wrong.

I hope I'm the problem because while it's a small annoyance, it's one I'd rather live without.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

The arrows to refresh the encounter will only appear once you have unlocked the encounter by clicking on the small 'lock' icon in the top right hand side of the encounter dialog. Once you do that you can change the numbers in the encounter and then click the refresh buttons to change the CR and XP.

In the end it was the encounter difficulty calculator extension, but you helped with my investigation
