The question mark came into being in v3.1.6

Oh, so that flashing red update was for me ;P It just takes so long to get the 3.1.7 goodness. Truthfully this 3.1.7 update was twice as fast as the last thumbs up here!

FYI 3.1.7 is the current test version (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?9966-Welcome-to-public-testing!), 3.1.6 is the current live version.

thanks for that, I checked mine and it wasnt red and was at 3.1.6 and I thought my updater was bork'd haha
