Hi there! I've been playing 5e for a bit now and would like to try a online game to broaden my horizons. I'm new to FG and am looking for a one off or short campaign just to get my feet wet. I would like to find a game for Thursday if possible after 8:30 pm pst. I'll play a pre generated character or roll one up it doesn't matter to me. Thanks for looking

Welcome Hedly. You will be best served by expressing your interest on games as they are posted by GMs. With limited availability it might take you linger but stay active and search this forum and Im sure you will find a game soon.

Welcome Hedly,

I think the initial hunt for a game can be one of the most difficult things when someone first starts here. Be patient, open your horizons as much as you are willing wrt different rule sets etc, and be active checking and applying for games. It is about like a job interview, which I hate to say, but a lot of times you are going to have to apply to several games before you land one. In rare instances a head hunter might come along with an offer. So, yeah, a lot like looking for a job. Which is terrible, but similarly the rewards are worth it. So, patience and keep pinging at it.

You can also browse the Game Calendar and put it into actual "calendar mode" by clicking "Game Recruiting Calendar" which puts you here...
https://www.fantasygrounds.com/gamecalendar/dashboard.php
All the game listings that are set as public looking for players should(?) appear here (sems to me they do but not ones you are already signed up for).
Be aware this is all GMT on that page it does not use your time zone profile setting to adjust unlike the calendar pages for each game.
So that means on that page you would actually be looking for a Friday morning game after 4:30am! (if I have my mental world clock calculation correct... better verify that)

Best wishes on your game search!
