View Full Version : Pathfinder Society at FG Con 8

For FG Con 8 I have stepped down as PFS coordinator and there hasn't been a volunteer stepping up to take over. As a result, FG Con 8 will not have Paizo convention support (free PDFs for GMs, Boons, PDF Prizes, etc.). However, this doesn't stop PFS events being ran at FG Con 8 - it is just that each GM will be responsible for organising their own events, reporting, etc.. I would encourage GMs to still run PFS events, which have been a part of FG Con from the first convention.

Guidelines on adding your event on the FG Con website here: https://www.fg-con.com/information/gm-guidelines/ (this page has further links to step-by-step instructions and the page to add your event).

Pay attention to the FGLICENSE section - this is the first FG Con where full (GM) licenses are not upgraded to Ultimate - players will need a full license if the GM has a full license. Prospective players can use the 30 trial option to play if they don't want to purchase a license for the convention.

In order to allow multiple PFS games to be played by as many players and GMs as possible, I'd recommend that GMs stick to the 5 hour time slots we've used for previous PFS events at FG Con.

NOTE: The event adding page does not read your profile timezone – all times on the event adding page are UTC 0. Use the UTC 0 times I list below for adding your game:

Slot #1. UTC 0: 07:00 to 12:00 (UK 8am –> 1pm. US Eastern 3am –> 8am. US Western 12am -> 5am. Australian EST 5pm –> 10pm.) Time and Date link (https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=FG+Con+8+-+Slot+1&iso=20160408T07&p1=1440&ah=5)
Break.
Slot #2. UTC 0: 13:00 to 18:00. (UK 2pm –> 7pm. US Eastern 9am –> 2pm. US Western 6am -> 11am. Australian AEST 11pm –> 4am.) Time and Date Link (https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=FG+Con+8+-+Slot+2&iso=20160408T13&p1=1440&ah=5)
Break.
Slot #3. UTC 0: 19:00 – 00:00 (next day). (UK 8pm –> 1am. US Eastern 3pm –> 8pm. US Western 12pm -> 5pm. Australian AEST 5am –> 10am.) Time and Date Link (https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=FG+Con+8+-+Slot+3&iso=20160408T19&p1=1440&ah=5)
Break.
Slot #4. UTC 0: 01:00 to 06:00. (UK 2am –> 7am. US Eastern 9pm –> 2am. US Western 6pm -> 11pm. Australian AEST 11am –> 4pm.) Time and Date Link (https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=FG+Con+8+-+Slot+4&iso=20160409T01&p1=1440&ah=5)

Don’t worry if there are already other PFS games in your preferred time slot, we usually run with 4 PFS events in the popular time slots.

Once you submit your session/s it will go into a pending mode and it will be reviewed by the FG Con admins before it is approved and added to the public event lists. If you are adding more than one session you may find the copy functionality speeds up the process once you’ve done your first session (copy instructions are included in the event adding guidelines).

Note: Once your event has been approved to the public event list, if you edit it in any way the listing will go back to pending approval and will be removed from the public list. So please try to limit edits once one the public list.

Remember that your main methods of communicating with your players will be through the comments section at the bottom of your events page on the FG Con website, or through email. Do not use the Fantasy Grounds forums for FG Con event discussions etc. use the FG Con comments section and emails. Thanks.

I will run my usual couple of games at FG CON too...

I told Trenloe it would be a bit hard for me (with work & band commitments) to offer my services to coordinate PFS, but had I known no one else had offered to take up the slack I would have put my hand up. I have juggled it in the past (the good old Living Greyhawk days), so I know the pain that comes with the coordination of a Con, but also the self gratifying rewards that come with helping others to enjoy our favorite past time.

If you get the job HoloGnome & need a hand, let me know.

We'll make sure you get support and scenarios and help recruit players and GMs.

I will have James start up the process over the next couple of days.

Trenloe, we would also like to assign a VA to FG - if you have any suggestions, please email me at [email protected] .

Look forward to working with you all and talk to you soon.

Hi All -

I have been in touch with Trenloe and IronHelix regarding FGCON 8 and also emailed the GMs, and as Trenloe mentioned, I am going to be doing the coordination!

Here is a quick update:

1. FGCON 8 will be running under the aegis of Pathfinder Online and I will be coordinating through IronHelix regarding reporting, boons, prizes, etc.
2. In terms of hitting our 15-table limit for Paizo support, we are probably at a little over 10 tables, but definitely need the help of all the FG PFS GMs to reach (and hopefully exceed) our minimum target.
2. FGCON will have a PFS Multi-Table Special (PFS 6-97: Siege of Serpents). At the moment, I am inclined to try to run it in Slot 3, so that it is at a somewhat reasonable time for everyone. Slot 4 is harder on those in European timezones (Blackfoot, cmdisc, Farnaby, etc.). It might help on the GM and player side. It has a 5-table minimum.
3. I have heard from some of you who have begun to select scenarios. Please get me your scenario titles as soon as you can so that we can submit for PDF access for all of you (should you need it).

That's all for now - thanks for your support!

HG

OK - thx!

BK and xazil - your events are now live and will be available for booking on March 17th. Please check them to make sure that all is as expected.

Also - both of you are signed up to GM the PFS Special: Siege of Serpents.

Session Total:
xazil: 3
BK: 3

Thanks, guys! :D

ps. Also - I have posted 5 sub-tiers for the Special. If more than 5 GMs want to participate, I will add additional tables, as needed. Blackfoot has also signed up to run the special, and I may as well. So, we need at least 1 more to meet the 5-table minimum.

I would be happy to run a table for the Special, but I would need a copy of it. Also, with the number of people running it, would there be any chance of sharing the FG formatted module? How would that work as far as proof of ownership is concerned?

Thanks for volunteering! Assuming we hit our minimum number of sessions (15), we will have support from Paizo, which means that all GMs will receive the PDFs for any scenarios they require for free (special or otherwise). Also, I have just run this recently and have at least the basic skeleton prep done - maps, etc., since I ran it as a live table game rather than a digital one. I will be happy to share the prep I have completed with the other GMs. So...no worries on having the scenario or proving ownership, etc. :)

Here are some quick suggestions (I have put myself on the high sub-tier in case there are no takers. I may have to fill in elsewhere.). Also, if you would like to run a CORE table, please let me know (assuming we can get signups within the target sub-tier).

Rivver: 1-2
Blackfoot: 3-4
BK: 5-6
xazil: 7-8
HG: 10-11

Total Sessions: 16 (we have met the minimum requirement for Paizo support for this event and the minimum number of tables for the special.)

LK - if you decide you want to run the special vs. play, let me know! It would be great to have another table.

Finally, we are still looking for more GMs! If you're interested in running anything, please post your events at fg-con.com! Thanks!

Thanks for setting this up HG! As to which tier, I would prefer anything in the 1-6 range. I'm still somewhat new to running scenarios, so I want to make sure I can complete it within the time allowed. so far, i haven't had much of a problem, but my experience with stuff past 6th level is a bit limited at this time.

HoloGnome
February 29th, 2016, 15:38
OK - I have you at 5-6 - is that OK?

I think you, BF and Rivver have tended to run in the 1-5 range, so I tried to give all of you something that is at a comfortable level. You've been running a bunch of games - scenarios and APs, so you seemed well-suited for 5-6. I'm pretty sure xazil will be OK with 7-8 and, for me, 10-11 will be my challenge goal...or there might not be any sign-ups (not sure how many 10-11's are orbiting FG)...so perhaps that explains the reasoning a little better.

What's the deadline you need for Scenario submissions? We are still discussing our plans here during the CON weekend.

Because of the timeframe, I will probably submit as soon as all the GMs enter their games at fg-con.com - let's say by the end of this week at the latest (Sunday). But, that being said, I have absolutely no problem attempting to submit follow-on requests (maybe as a consolidated secondary submission).

I have seen Paizo be very responsive and helpful in my interactions with them, so providing there is still reasonable lead-time (at least a couple of weeks minimum), the requests might meet with success, but no promises. The worst case would be that you pay 3.99 x N for the N scenarios you want to run. If you want to run the Special, I need to know soon, because that one is not purchasable.

It would be great if you could participate as a GM! :)

Thanks for the info and all the help, Jesse! Since it looks like we have the baseline requirements for Paizo support and the Special, I would like to do the initial submission at the end of this week (Sunday) so that GMs have plenty of time with their scenarios. To help with tracking and organization on the FG side, I can submit things to you as a consolidated spreadsheet.

After that, if there are any additional GMs who wish to volunteer, I will try to consolidate into a 2nd submission to help minimize the churn.

GMs - if you know you're going to participate in FG-CON, please add your scenarios to fg-con.com by this coming Saturday, if possible. For others who are still deciding, I'll catch you on part 2 before Jesse's deadline above.

EDIT: Submission for support received from HoloGnome and passed up the chain.

Regionally appropriate greeting, All.

Indeed, Mr HoloGnome - after our emails on the topic this afternoon I understood that the pre-con GM web form would be unnecessary for FG-Con 8. (It helps a lot for our events with 100-200 online tables, but I agree that you should be able to manually collect the data required for FG-Con 8.)

Just make sure anyone GMing gets HoloGnome your:

* Paizo Associated Email Address. (The one you signed up to Paizo.com with - this is the primary key Paizo uses.)
* Your Primary Paizo Alias.
* Your PFS #.
* A full list of the scenarios you are GMing.
[Make sure to use the full name from the product page like: 3-07 Echoes of the Overwatched]

+ We will also need the PZ# (off of the product page).

Note: Even if you already have the scenario you are running make sure and send your info to HoloGnome and still list the session at the bottom of the support document - but note on it that you already have the scenario to save issuance time. (We need a full count of tables, so we can get the appropriate boons/prizes.)

An update on the submission date, I was just informed that the OPC and other Paizo staff will be out of the Paizo office from March 13th to April 1st. That means I will really need the full GM list earlier than originally planned. So we will need the list by March 8th, 2016 - and, as stated above, earlier is better. So your accelerated timeline actually works out pretty well, HoloGnome.

When it comes time to report games during the con, we will need all GMs to use the session reporting form that will be provided prior to the start of the con. That is the way we will issue GM boons, player boons, and raffled prizes, et cetera. (So, to be included in prize support / boons, all sessions will need to be reported via the session reporting form and those sessions reported via the form will then be reported to Paizo via that event number by the Online VOs.)

An event has already been setup on Paizo for FG-Con 8: https://paizo.com/events/v5748mkg0beg8

The Event Name/Number is: FG-Con 8/73192 - you can use that to go ahead and start filling out your chronicles and such when you get your scenarios.

If you have any question make sure you contact HoloGnome and he can help you out, or pass the questions on to us as needed.

(If you have need to contact me directly for some reason though, my information is below.)

Looking forward to FG-Con and Best Wishes / Many Thanks to all of you.

Talk to you soon,

- Jesse

Hi Jesse -

That all sounds good. So, let's say that I will need all the info from GMs by this coming Monday (1 day in advance of the deadline).

On the session tracking side, my preference would be to use a Googledoc Sheet so that we have all the PFS games at-a-glance in one place. We have templates from previous years that have worked well and should consolidate and simplify the reporting and session boon tracking. I expect to be doing the reporting, which is fine, and delegated reporting on paizo.com allows editing through the "Find" interface as long as you know the session ID (I think). So, if I need to make additional changes later, I should be able to do that.

Thanks for setting up the event. Please change #7-17 to #7-18 (F&F Part 3 instead of Thralls of the Shattered God). Please add #7-10 Consortium Compact and #5-09 The Traitor's Lodge.

Thx! :)

IronHelixx
March 1st, 2016, 18:43
7-18 has not been added to the Paizo reporting system yet - so we'll have to wait on Paizo IT on that one.

The web session reporting system has features we will need to issue GM boons and such, and consolidates all the data in one place for reporting. We'll discuss its use offline.

Hi All -

Just a quick announcement about PFS at FG-CON 8! I would like to submit the GM and scenario list to Paizo sometime on this coming Monday (US time), so there is still more time to sign up to run PFS scenarios at the CON!

Besides the thrill of playing Pathfinder Society games, there will also be boons, a special scenario (more GMs welcome), fabulous prizes and rumor has it that :{ BK }: will be GMing while wearing a giant rabbit costume!

We would love to have more GMs to run regular sessions and also to participate in the special multi-table scenario, Siege of Serpents.

If you're interested in GMing, please post a game or two at https://fg-con.com or get in touch with me if you're not sure how to proceed. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help. But...whatever you do, do it by Monday! :D

Thanks!

As to availability, I'll be around all day Sunday chipping away at the mountain of prep I need to do for my other campaigns, so if you want to hook up on TS or something, hit me up. I'm sure I'll need a break at some point :)

You should be good to go. There are 16 events posted currently, including a stub event for Consortium Compact with you as owner so that you can just edit it. cmdisc may or may not run something and I have double-checked with other fg GMs. It would be nice to have more tables. However, so far, we have met the paizo support goal, which is great!

I checked out the main calendar and it looks like everything is there.

1. Multi-Table Special: 5 tables
2. BK: Traitor's Lodge and Echoes of the Overwatched: 2 tables
3. xazil: The Sanos Abduction and The Deepmarket Deception: 2 tables
4. Lord Kavos: Feast of Sigils and Words of the Ancients: 2 tables
5. HoloGnome: Faithless & Forgotten, Parts 1-3, Trouble in Tamran: 4 tables
------
15 tables total: 4 tables on Friday; 8 tables on Saturday; 3 tables on Sunday

Blackfoot - with your placeholder for Consortium Compact, that makes 16. Also, you are the owner of the record, so you should be able to modify it.

If anyone else would like to GM/add PFS sessions, let me know ASAP! Thx! :)

Update: I have submitted the convention support request to Jesse/Paizo. If things go as they have in previous years, you should receive your support PDFs soon in your user account at paizo.com (for those that don't already own the specific scenarios).

If any other PFS GMs decide they want to run something for FGCON8, please let me know. Going forward, I'm happy to submit additional names if anyone else decides they want to run something, but cannot guarantee that there will be scenario support.

Player registration for FG CON 8 opens March 17th at midnight. So, if you want to add a session, that is the next deadline on the horizon (but the sooner the better, up until April 4th).

Thanks!

Players - warm up your mouse buttons for March 17th. Space is limited! (10 slots, 16 sessions, 96 seats across all scenarios, 30 for the multi-table special)

ps. Also - re: questions about the special - LK, Dan, BK, BF - I have put in a Slot 0 request to ask if it is possible to run a session for the 4 of you of #6-97: Siege of Serpents so that you have a chance to play before GMing. I have already run it in the past, so I'm happy to do it. It may be possible to run it as a regular scenario without the overseer or meta-content.

(edit: pushed out submission deadline for events based on post below)

You can add events up until the 4th April but the later you add them the less likely they are to fill up. If your schedule doesnt allow you to plan this far ahead you can still join later.
We have just added a new Calendar view: https://www.fg-con.com/mycalendar/ (thanks ianmward and Trenloe) that might make it easier for some of you. If you want to run a Pathfinder game have a look at what slots are not already pathfinder heavy for example. And do take note that all times are shown in UTC if you are not logged in and have set your timezone!

Just a small little update concerning the Con....

...I CAN MAKE IT!!!

Ok, yeah, so the wife and I planned our vacation and decided it was best to go during the week of the 12th to 15th. So this leaves me free for the CON.

I am open to GMing a PFS session if it's not too late. At this point I can only offer one session for the CON as I'm busy with other projects and wouldn't have time to prep 2 or more. I will look over scenarios and Time Slots to see what works best.

HoloGnome, I sent you a PM concerning the Multi-table.

Also, I have updated the sign-ups. The games are continuing to fill up!

For those who are interested in playing, please have a look at the Siege of Serpents games. We still need more players in order for the special to be possible. If you would like to play at a sub-tier which is full, please submit a booking anyway. Also, don't forget that you can always play a pregen and assign the credit, if you are so desired.

I received my download. Oddly instead of its usual format of being in my Paizo account downloads, it was in the form of an email from Jesse Davis (PFS online rep) that linked to a shared document. Once I downloaded it, I let him know and he pulled to down. I'm guessing that was their way of correcting the last minute crossing of signals which got a copy of this into LK's hands.

As for table fills, there always seems to be a last minute rush as tables fill suddenly during the final week. So that 10-11 table may still be a go.

HG, I've got a question about the multi-table event.

I'm signed up for the lvl 7 table but I've got a level 2 character available and maybe a lvl 3 by the time FG Con rolls around.

So ultimately, I can play a different character if needed to balance out the numbers at a specific sub-tier table. Should I comment that somewhere in the FG Con sign-up or in a thread so you can track players who have the ability to move around from one table to another?

I assume when we get closer to the con weekend, you may want to move players around to fill in gaps, if any.

bigboom: Definitely room at the mid-tier tables, so that could be a good move. I'm surprised - I thought 3-4/5-6 would fill up first, but we're weighted at 7-8/1-2. If there are those of you that have multiple characters, keeping an eye on the tables would be a huge help and save time at the event. We need at least 3 at each table, so we may need to shuffle at the last minute. Thanks for the flexibility!

OK - I'll hold on for 10-11. If any of you have gamer social networks, please mention FGCON8 and see if any of them would like to play!

Hi All -

I have just updated the PFS availability. Please have a look at the open games. In particular, we are looking for players for the special, PFS6-97: Siege of Serpents, on Saturday in sub-tiers: 3-4, 5-6 and 10-11. We need to fill these tables so that we have enough tables to meet paizo's minimum requirement!

If you want to play the special in a sub-tier that is now full, please post a booking in that sub-tier, even though it will remain pending. As the CON approaches, we may need to add another table at an existing sub-tier (or even a CORE table) and I will make that decision based on pending sign-ups, if any.

Also - all GMs should now have form-fillable chronicles so that you can complete player chronicles right after the games.

Time to hit those PFS booking buttons! :D And, remember, even if you don't have a character in a certain sub-tier, you can always use a Pregen/1, Pregen/4 or Pregen/7, as applicable! A PFS ID and a pregen gets you a sweet PFS seat at FGCON8!

Thanks to all for supporting PFS at FGCON 8!

PFS#5-08: The Confirmation (1-2, NORMAL) (https://www.fg-con.com/events/pfs-5-08-the-confirmation-tier-1-2-normal-new-players-welcome/) -> SIGN UP NOW! 6 available!

No special Pathfinder/Society knowledge required. This session will be an introductory one and pregens are welcome!

Hi All -

FGCON is looking for 2 players who have characters at level 5-6 to sign up for the 5-6 sub-tier of the Siege of Serpents special event. We have 2 at the table now, need 1 more for a minimum table (+ 1 GM pregen) or 2 for a table with no added pregens (preferred).

If you have a character at level 5-6, please consider signing up or switching to sub-tier 5-6!

PFS#6-97: Siege of Serpents (5-6, NORMAL, *SPECIAL*) (https://www.fg-con.com/events/pfs-6-97-siege-of-serpents-subtier-5-6-normal-multi-table-special/) -> GM: :{ BK }: / 4 Available

We could also use at least 1 more for the 3-4 sub-tier so that Blackfoot's table doesn't have to run a pregen. You can play a pregen/4 at this table, so anyone can help out here - you don't need your own PC.

PFS#6-97: Siege of Serpents (3-4, NORMAL, *SPECIAL*) (https://www.fg-con.com/events/pfs-6-97-siege-of-serpents-subtier-3-4-normal-multi-table-special/) -> GM: Blackfoot / 3 Available! Pregen/4 Use Possible!

Finally, if any of you have characters in the 10-11 range, please consider signing up for the upper sub-tier:

PFS#6-97: Siege of Serpents (10-11, NORMAL, *SPECIAL*) (https://www.fg-con.com/events/pfs-6-97-siege-of-serpents-subtier-10-11-normal-multi-table-special/) -> GM: HoloGnome / 5 Available

If some of you with multiple characters at various levels (or those willing to play a pregen/4) can help balance the tables so that all are at least minimally viable, that would be great!

Those of you at the 7-8 sub-tier are ideal candidates to switch, if you're interested and willing, since your sub-tier also supports pregen use for last-minute add-ins.

We need to have 5 viable tables as a minimum to run this special event. So, with a little flexibility, we should be able to pull it off.

Thx!

ps. We are accepting non-guaranteed overbooking for all of the special events in case we need to do some last-minute juggling. So, if you'd like to play at a certain sub-tier, please place your booking. Space may become available as we muster the tables on the day of the event.

If you're still looking for games, please check it out. We have a couple of new openings and still have room in the special at sub-tier 1-2, in particular. We need players! New players - note that you can use a Pregen/1 for any sub-tier 1-2 game.

As an additional incentive for new Pathfinder Society players, if you would like to give it a try and FGCON is your first time playing with your very first character, you will be eligible to receive one of the following boons (GMs - please take note!):

New Player Boon

Initiate’s Edge: Golarion can be a dangerous place, and the Pathfinder Society takes care to equip its newest recruits. You can apply one of the following benefits to your first character (XXXXXX–1); cross out the other two options. The first time you serve as a game master for a Pathfinder Society game and apply the credit to this character, you may double your maximum number of uses for the selected benefit.

Elixir of Renewal: You gain a special elixir that you can consume as if it were a potion in order torestore 2d8+5 hit points as well as 1d4 points of one type of ability damage. You can use the potion only once, even if the user is under the effects of alchemical allocation (Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide 201) or a similar effect that would allow one to benefit from a potion multiple times. Check the box that precedes this boon when you use this elixir. Not every character can use healing magic, but anyone can consume a potion. This elixir is especially good at curing ability damage, which often accompanies poison, disease, and the special attacks of many undead creatures. Consider this option if you cannot cast healing spells but want a powerful way to heal yourself in an emergency.

Tattoo of the Open Road: You have a magical tattoo of the Glyph of the Open Road, the insignia of the Pathfinder Society. As an immediate action when you are struck by a critical hit or dealt at least 15 points of damage from a spell or supernatural ability, you can check the box that precedes this boon and expend the tattoo’s magic to gain 10 temporary hit points that last for 1 minute. During this minute, you also treat your Constitution score as if it were 10 higher for the purpose of determining when hit point damage would kill you. Hit points are a precious commodity at low levels, and an opponent’s lucky attack can sometimes kill a character in one hit. Consider this option to reduce the chance that a critical hit will kill you.

Restorative Wand: You gain a wand of cure light wounds with 5 charges. This wand has an effective market price of 0 gp if sold. Consider this option if you are able to cast healing spells, as you can activate the wand without difficulty.

This new player boon is great way to get started in Pathfinder Society! Now is the time! :)

In the past, Martin sent out the boons & rewards at some point after the con, once the info was all sorted out... I just wondered about this 'new player' ones as they seem a bit more like 'holiday boons' in that they target everyone in a specific group and are fairly easy to distribute without the risk of abuse.

HoloGnome
April 4th, 2016, 19:00
Other boons will be at the end. I assume this one will be in real time. This one is more restrictive than a holiday boon (which everyone gets)...but I think we can probably work it out without too much hassle. It's a great thing for new players! :)

Blackfoot
April 4th, 2016, 19:04
That was my thought too, seems like new players would like to be able to actually use them if they are playing more than one game during the Con.

HoloGnome
April 4th, 2016, 19:11
In the very least, you can make a note as GM and execute based on the text...but I think we can probably pull it off. It might be a good idea to modify the user template email I sent out to query users about whether or not they are a new player using their first character, etc. If you get the username, pfsid, character name, we can probably generate the boon in advance.

Maybe try advertising on the PFS Online Collective? Granted roll20 is most commonly used by the community there (primarily because roll20 is free) but perhaps some new folks will give FG a shot?

And I imagine a multi-table event would be a draw for some.

I've been on the road the past couple days so I've been tied up. But I just got home and now that I've got a bit of time to catch my breathe, I've gone ahead and posted a bit of info about FG CON to the PFS Online Collective that I mentioned above.

If anyone would like to add to what I've said, my posting is located here:

I have updated availability for PFS (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?16931-***-Game-Announcement-thread-***-Subscribe-to-get-email-updates-GM-posts-only!&p=261263&viewfull=1#post261263). It looks like there are still a few seats left on each day of the CON! Still a great chance to participate before they're all gone! Act quickly!

Friday: 2 seats left (1 game)
Saturday: 6 seats left at the special event, Siege of Serpents - would love to fill these tables!
Sunday: 2 seats left (1 each in 2 games)

Hey guys - VL James McTeague here.

I just wanted to stop by and thank everyone who made FG Con 8 such a success, especially from a PFS point of view. It's always really nice to see gatherings of online players together. I would like to give an special shout-out to HoloGnome for taking care of mustering - one of the most labor-intensive but necessary jobs of any convention.

Boons will be going out as soon as I have the final list!

Thanks damned and Iammars - you too! There's a lot of work that goes on in the background to make things run smoothly! And, damned - thanks for all you do to run the fg-con.com site! It wouldn't be possible without you.

Just a quick note to say congrats to all on a successful FGCON8! We ran 20 tables of PFS with a total of ~110 seats, including 18 unique scenarios and 1 multi-table special. From what I've heard/observed so far, everyone seemed to have a great time, and it was encouraging to see new FG GMs and players join in on the CON. Thanks to all for supporting that process and making the CON very inclusive for new FG users - that's what it's all about!

Also, the multi-table special went very well and I am happy to report that the room had an Impressive Defense of the Grand Lodge and Skyreach and everyone received full rewards for the adventure! Thanks again, Iammars, for doing a great job as Overseer for the special event and for the other logistical support you, and especially Jesse Davis, provided!

Finally, great job to all the PFS GMs. Thanks for all the prep, table mustering and communication with your players that went into making the CON run very smoothly. I'm sure we're all looking forward to FGCON9! :D

I will be working with GMs and VOs this week on wrapping up the reporting and boon distribution. If anyone has any comments, feel free to post them. If you have specific questions, send me a PM. OK - now everyone may officially sleep. BEGIN PROGRAM! :D

5 out of my 11 players (in 2 games) get to receive the 'new player' boon. Admittedly I did run one of the evergreen starter games.. but even so... that's really quite good.
Welcome new players, I hope you enjoyed the con and PFS on FG play in general! We look forward to seeing more of you.

I have reported 16 of 20 games...just waiting on some info from a few GMs. I should have the boon list done by this Friday, including: New Player Boons, 10% Roll-off Boons, $10 Gift Certificates and GM Boons. Thanks to the GMs for filling in their spreadsheets quickly so that we can wrap this baby up! :D

Speaking of reported sessions... I just saw the FG con entries in my Paizo sessions list.

There is a problem with Siege of Serpents multi-table.

It is listed as a CORE scenario (PFC) on the sessions log.
And there is an ominous-sounding note there on Siege of Serpents "Character is incorrect organized play type PFSRPG for table of type PFSPFC."

And my character has been stripped of his PP award (and maybe worse, have not seen the chronicle) for that scenario as a result.

The listing on FG con has the following title.

PFS #6-97 Siege of Serpents (subtier 1-2, Normal, 2nd Table) *** Multi-Table Special! ***
And same "Normal" on all the FG forums listings and status updates etc.
Everywhere I look at all tiers I see every session of this event listed as Normal not CORE.

I have shared the reporting sheet to you HG & sent out almost all my chronicles.

1 player I didnt get his details - he said he would email me, received nothing so far.

He took JWMKs place when he couldnt play in Feast of Sigils - played Amiri, but thats all I know about him. Tried to check the FGCON website, but all the sessions are removed & I cant see the chat history.

Well done to all GMs, con was a blast to play and GM.

Put me down for the next one.

IrishBouzouki: No problem - I accidentally selected a CORE game for the listing when I was mass entering data yesterday. It's a simple fix. - DONE
LK: What was the FG login name that owns the character?

Thoroughly enjoyed both playing and GM'n the con :) You can count me in for next time as well!

As to chronicles and such... All of my player's have received their chronicles. I'm just waiting on one player to confirm his Paizo email. Other than that, all of the information you received from me should be all set. :)

Any info from that player in the chat log? I sent out a general email to a few people.

I was Seoni in Words of the Ancients, if that is who you were looking for, all my info is in the "Notes" tab of my character sheet.
I was not Amiri in Feast of Sigils though, I did not play in that game. Sorry.

IrishB: Yep - thx - that's what we have you down for and you're good to go.

Also, I located the missing player without any trouble.

Moral of the story: Whenver you play a game in Fantasy Grounds, make sure your notes tab has the following info:

Player Name
PFS ID (with suffix)
PC Name
PC Faction
Contact Email Address
Fast or Slow progression
Purchases, Items Used, etc.

I have finished reporting all the PFS sessions, which should now be reflected on paizo.com, and have submitted all the data for player and GM boons and gift certificates! If you notice any discrepancies, let me know. Otherwise, you should start receiving things soon! :D

I have finished reporting all the PFS sessions, which should now be reflected on paizo.com ... If you notice any discrepancies, let me know ...I still have an issue on paizo.com with the sessions for "Gorm the Hungry" due to the initial entry of the multitable as PFS CORE instead of Normal. I see that you fixed the entry session type but the PP award and the note still reflect it being a CORE session and therefore an invalid PC type. Maybe this is a Paizo problem? But I don't really know what else I as a player can do to clear it up.

I deleted and re-entered the session. That should fix it.

Boons should be out to all the players and GMs at this point thanks to the V.O.'s and you will be receiving your gift certificates (for those that won) via your paizo email. Because we did individual roll-off gift certificates, there won't be any post-CON prizes.

For those waiting for chronicles from me - I have had a family issue to attend to and should be getting them to you soon.
