Hi folks! First post, I hope it's not a dumb one...

I'm tracing the attack process in the 4E ruleset and I get to an ActionsManager call. So I do a FiF and the only thing I get back is calls. It doesn't seem to be defined anywhere. I double check base.xml to be sure and it's not there. I'm obviously missing something, just have no idea what. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Yep, it was a dumb one... Nevermind. 4E is a layer, and ActionsManager is defined in the underlying CoreRPG layer.

Don't mind me... I'll just herp myself out the derp... ;)

welcome Paleotech
no not at all!
this stuff takes a while to get our head around.
functionss are usually defined in one location, strings/variables in another and then used in another place again.
most rulesets are layered on top of CoreRPG and then you will often have an extension layered on top of the ruleset (hint: this is the way you should go if you are making changes...)

Thanks Damned,

I'm still at the point of just trying to become familiar with the code already in place for FG. I've been reading the developer's guide and most of it's fairly easy to understand. I think I'll keep reading the guide and tracing CoreRPG logic paths for a while before I ask any more questions. (especially ones I end up answering myself in less than 10m after posting. :P)

Hopefully, I have some better questions soon.

If you haven't seen it already, some info here might help: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?19033-Modifying-the-3-5e-PFRPG-ruleset

It's for the 3.5E ruleset, but the same principles (and brought file locations) apply to the 4E ruleset, as both are layered on top of CoreRPG.
