View Full Version : Questions about Materials needed per system

I am thinking of talking some friends into trying out running campaigns since we are all over the state and don't get together as often as we would wish. (lol, like you haven't heard this reason before)

Ok If I buy an ultimate license and the 5E rulebook, MM, PHB, DMG etc. for my system, will all my players also need to purchase the PBH for their local systems or can they use mine to roll chars etc? What I am thinking I would like to propose to them is donate to the till so we can have one set of resources for everyone. After all, we have dropped some serious gp on the hardbacks already.

If my players must have reference material on their local machine, is it enough to have the classes they are playing or will it be best to buy the whole kit and kaboodle?

Thanks.

Welcome to the community!

If they are playing in your campaign, only the GM needs to have the books, and he then shares withe the players, but they only have access to them when connected to your campaign.

That's great! Thanks for the response! Working my way through Dulux's videos pretty nifty. As a whole this is a cool idea. Although I am late to the party.

Don't sweat it - we were all "late to the party" when we started (afterall, FG's been around for over 10 years) :)

And I'm glad you like the Vids (more coming, I've just got to get them done)

I hope you are getting some royalties of some sort for your hard work, at least free modules and rules etc. The editing is very professional. And by the way, I love the part where you explain using the "He" pronoun. I chuckle each time. If you are doing this for "love of the game" then good for you. I need to get to your site and drop some $.

And if you like the Vids, then you might also like some of my Extensions as well (Gawd, I sound like TEVO) - check the FG Wiki and/or the Extensions Forum under the Armoury Forum
