haya fetito666 what is it in particular you are looking for?

having a look at the free basic rules here: https://dnd.wizards.com/ is a good start if you are completely new to DnD and maybe looking at a video or two here: https://www.youtube.com/user/geekandsundry

I am looking for general D&D info. I already played the 2nd edition 10 years ago, now I got the 5th edition manuals. Moreover, I played older D&D computer games such as "Neverwinter Nights", "Pool of Radiance", "Eye of the Beholder" and of course "Baldurs Gate 1+2". I want to get in touch with D&D players.

I am not sure if this is the correct subforum for that, because this forum is "just" for "Fantasy Grounds".

No, this is the right place... since the forum heading is Adventurer's League.

If you go to a local game store that is part of the WNP network (https://locator.wizards.com) you can easily find other D&D players, particularly Adventurer's League, and either get in on pick up games, or get to know some folks and get invited to home games.

I hope this helps

This is a Fantasy Grounds forum - yes - and lots of D&D players here.
Id have a good read of the PHB and watch a few games being streamed on youtube or twitch.

So if I have general questions about the rules, do I have to ask in a "pure" D&D forum? The official D&D website dungeonsanddragons.com took down the forum. What is the corresponding forum now? What if I have a question regarding Ravenloft? *blush*

Ah okay: So far I know there are no Ravenloft 5th edition adventures available yet.

Therefore in the meanwhile I'd like to use the Ravenloft adventures from the second edition from https://www.dmsguild.com. Is there a way to convert the stats from the 2nd edition to the 5th one?

I would personally start by doing a one to one swap of the monsters and then I would look at the encounters and get a feel for their challenge. If too hard/easy drop/raise the HP or HD or both for the monsters and re-evaluate.

Hello! Could someone please recommend me some useful D&D links?

I know this thread is old, but my buddy has been DMing D&D games for over 10 years and he wrote this guide I thought might be helpful!
