LFG - New to FG

I play a lot of 2e AD&D and have been super into watching Critical Role and Titansgrave.
Would really like to get into a 5e group to try and learn more about taking part in the edition to prep my IRL games I plan to DM in the future.
Down to join a 2, 3.5, or 5e group if anyone is looking for players.

I only have the Demo version right now till I get more used the programming and find some groups to participate in.

Schedule: My schedule varies but i'm always free after 10pm est.
Frequency: Would like an active group, but doesn't need to be daily. Looking for a group I can flush a character out with completely.
Voice: I do have a mic and access to the Teamspeak Server.
Game System: 5e preferably, will play 2e AD&D or 3.5 as well.
Experience: Watched tons of 5e, playing 2e AD&D currently, and am slightly familiar with 3.5
FG Experience: VERY new, only have demo and haven't played a game yet.
Character Type: Usually rogue, ranger or mage class/multiclass/dual class. Or a Prestige/kit verison of the combined classes
About Me: Easy-going and mature person. I like to make jokes, laugh, and can have the mouth of a sailor (but don't use it towards others).

Welcome Bobbums make sure you actively seek out games as well. Look through games that are advertised and apply directly to them as many games will fill up within hours of being posted so GMs often have no need to approach players directly.

Hey Bobbums, welcome. If you like 2e gaming, you might want to consider Castles & Crusades - it's very close... not exact to be certain... but very close. It also is an officially supported ruleset.

Hiya Bobbums always good to see new players coming in, be patient, and check every day, apply to any game that looks like it might suit, also you may want to stop by on the FG teamspeak server (though it is down at the moment) with LFG behind your nick, you can meet people that know of games sometimes that way. Or if really lucky a GM has an open chair and sees ya there when their game is starting. Ya just missed the last FG-Daze on the 9th, a full day of scheduled one shots so new people can try things out, meet other players and GM's. There are a lot of great GM's and players here, so patience and persistence are your best tools.

Hello Bobbums welcome to the fantasy grounds family. As one new player to another and fellow critter, I want to say don't get discouraged. It took me a few weeks of scrolling the forum and the game calendar to get into game that fit what I was looking for. I was on the verge of giving up, but I faithfully kept at because I knew the DND gods wouldn't forsake me....{pious eyes, clasping hands fervently}. No seriously though, statistically speaking if you keep looking around the forum, posting and generally keeping up a good rep you will eventually find a game to your liking. Heads up DM's are in short supply. Funnily enough I joined as a player because I wish to one day be an awesome DM. Good luck Mate :)
