View Full Version : New Ultimate Edition purchase Issues: no tokens, no references, etc

Good evening.

After playing in the demo I decided to invest in the ultimate edition. When I installed it, it says everything went fine, but when I load in to experiment I have no tokens, no referenceable materials (such as a bestiary?) When I go into the folders to browse the tokens folders are empty and I think I am missing some core features.

I must have done the key and part of the install correctly because it shows 'ultimate edition' on the start campaign area. When I go to update, it runs updates (and says they are successful) but nothing changes.

I'd love to get started, but it seems my ultimate edition has less than the free demo. :(

Any thoughts on what I may be missing.

Thanks.

Depends which ruleset you are using but start by going in your token box, click on modules and activate them. Same with reference modules in the Library.

This video on library functionality might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ5hYDSGgfc

I'd recommend watching some of the videos available in the Wiki here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Videos

The User guide section of the Wiki can be handy as you start to explore Fantasy Grounds: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/User_Guides

That worked for the tokens. But for the library there are only the calendar, FG Battle Maps, and Default Fumble and Critical Hit table rules.

It was my understanding that there was a degree of bestiary included and that it would be here. (since I have watched several videos) Maybe I'm mistaken. Should there only be those three modules listed?

Again, depends which ruleset you're using man.

What ruleset are you running?

See the table at the bottom of this page: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/buyFG/ It has a scrollbar down the right side, so scroll through - it will tell you which rulesets come with library modules. You can add the 5E D&D Basic Rules and SRD to this list.

Thank you to both of you. I have a much better understanding now. Some of the videos leave out the details in terms of what is paired with the rule-sets. Makes much more sense now.

Everything is squared away. :) Awesome. Thank you!
