Running v3.1.5 with 5E ruleset. I've been finding a few errors in the LMoP module, so I've been customizing the various bits. Things like replacing the letter tokens with some of Devin Knight's tokens on the NPCs, fixing the encounter tables, and other miscellaneous changes.
However, found that after closing the campaign, and opening it again, all my edits would disappear. I'm running Windows version and have the program run in admin mode (or else other things start behaving badly as posted by many others).
However, I'd also find that just some of my edits would be lost. Today I finally figured out what is triggering the loss.
I've been changing the color of the category icons for this module to make them easier to find once we start playing. The colors are lost on re-start, but then so is anything that I customized in that category.
For example, on the tables for part 3 & 4, I'll make edits to the tables so that the quantity of creatures encountered is also rolled (use [] instead of () around the die description). I then changed the color of the category tab for part 3 and left part 4 alone. Close and re-open. The edits to tables in part 4 are still present and the ones in part 3 are gone.
