Sharing Modules from Player to Host

Does this work, or is it strictly the other way around?

Only the host may share modules with players. It does not work in the other direction.

However if the player has a module the host doesn't then the host can allow the player to use the module. So in 5E if the GM doesn't have Sword Coast Legends but the player does the GM can allow the player to use SCL.
